In between Whalley and Preston is the lovely village of Chipping. This is about as far as we can get from our home base (if we want to get home again!), but the ride is well worth it. Some of the area's best scenery is to be found here, and it's still a bit of a secret to the Sunday Ice cream licker brigade. Top cafe, well worth a visit.
